Replacement Windows in Cincinnati, Ohio

We all love what beautiful windows can do. They let the light in and put the world on display. Windows frame a gorgeous view, let us keep an eye on the backyard fun our kids or grandkids dream up, and invite a brilliant sunset into the room during dinner.

But windows do more than bring the outside world in. Old windows may also be sending what’s inside our homes outside. Windows that are old, in disrepair or made of single pane glass can allow heat to seep out during the winter and air conditioning to escape all summer. But even if they do a good job of keeping warm and cool air inside your home, when they no longer match the look or feel of their surroundings, it’s time for high quality replacement windows.

Replacement windows have a powerful effect on the style of a room and on your utility bills. When it comes to saving money, energy efficient replacement windows are the best possible solution. These replacement windows can save homeowners as much as 25% on energy bills every month for the life of the windows, particularly when you’re replacing single pane windows.

All new windows are more energy efficient than old, single pane windows but when you’re choosing replacement windows you can increase your savings with smart choices. JFK is an authorized Andersen Excellence Dealer, which means we offer the very best replacement windows available from the most highly- regarded window manufacturer in the country.

But you don’t have to take our word for it. In 2005, the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) adopted a new energy performance label that lists the manufacturer, describes the product and provides information on energy efficiency ratings for one or more energy performance characteristics. You can find information about the energy performance ratings of Andersen replacement windows for the following characteristics in their Technical Documents Library.
  • U-Factor: The U-Factor indicates how well your replacement windows will prevent heat from escaping. The lower the U-Factor (or U-Value), the better job the replacement windows will do at keeping heat where it belongs.

  • Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC): The SHGC measures how well replacement windows block heat caused by sunlight. The range is expressed between 0 and 1; the lower the number, the less solar heat it transmits to the interior of a house.

  • Visible Transmittance (VT): The VT measures the amount of visible light that comes through the glass of your replacement windows. In this case, the higher the number (on a scale of 0 to 1), the better.

Increased energy efficiency is a great reason to buy replacement windows but there are others, like remodeling.

Remodeling a home often starts with a vision. You can see the potential in your house and you know that your vision will better reflect your style than the current reality. Replacement windows can help you bring that vision to life, complementing the new exterior and interior style. Replacement windows can let the light into a room in a new way and frame a beautiful view with truly exceptional craftsmanship, transforming a house all on their own.

JFK Window & Door is Cincinnati’s premier supplier of Andersen’s complete line of replacement windows. Stop into our showroom today and we’ll help you find the perfect replacement windows to match your budget, your style and your needs.
